Bart and Ruth Brewer
The founder and director of Mission To Catholics is Bartholomew F. Brewer Ph.D. Bart was ordained to the Roman Catholic priesthood at the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception of Mary in Washington DC. During ten years as a priest he served as a Discalced Carmelite missionary in the Philippines, as a parish priest in Arizona and California and finally as a U.S. Navy Chaplain.
During the Second Vatican Council he began to question church authority and in so doing opened the door to a greater understanding of the great disparity between Scripture and Roman Catholic theology.
After leaving the priesthood and Roman Catholicism Bart was Biblically born again and later ordained as a Baptist minister. He has now dedicated his life to reaching the lost (especially Roman Catholics) for Jesus Christ and Biblical Christianity.
